ClimatX.Capital LLC offers mergers & acquisitions and financing resources to companies whose solutions help slow or adapt to climate change and growing energy demand. 

Though not a fund or direct investor, this thematic focus matches that of climate-motivated investment funds and corporate mandates to accomplish the dual goals of risk-adjusted returns and climate change mitigation.

Addressing climate change need not be a company's priority, however if its technology, product or service contributes favorably, we'd love to have a conversation.   Broadly, companies operating within one or more of these themes, especially if employing AI to optimize results, may be a good fit.

1. Electrification--responsive to today's soaring demand for electric power as driven by data center needs and the conversion of fossil fuels energy to renewable sources, e.g., wind, solar, hydrogen, nuclear.  There is significant overlap with transportation, for example electric vehicles (EVs) and commercial transportation hydrogen fuel cell EVs. 
2. Decarbonization--technologies to reduce or remove carbon emissions.
3. Efficiency--reducing the need for resource inputs.
4. Sustainability--non-depleting or polluting resource extraction and/or utilization.

The themes necessitate broad interpretation of serviceable industries, often blurring distinctions among digital, hardware or materials technologies, while being increasingly influenced by AI.

Examples: 

• A critical supply chain component enabling the energy transition (such as a current advanced materials client)
• Sensors or software to monitor and manage energy consumption (e.g., "Internet of Things" applications)  
• Digital applications to more effectively deploy distributed energy resources, track asset or resource custody (blockchain?)
• Engineered products to help meet soaring electricity demand without fossil fuel power generation
• Geothermal or nuclear energy (such as a current client)
• Business services supporting electricity grid optimization and maintenance
• Construction or agriculture focused technologies that reduce carbon emissions by efficiency gains, use of low CO2e resource inputs or elimination of pollution
